Nopales with Cheese

This recipe can be used to accompany grilled meat or as a main dish.

  • 4 nopales
  • 4 slices panela cheese , thick
  • lemon juice , (2 pieces)
  • Maggi seasoning
  • English sauces
  • salt , and pepper to taste

  • Clean and disinfect the nopales
  • Place them in a container and marinate with lime, the two salsas, and salt and pepper.
  • Put them in a pan over low heat with all the remaining marinade juice.
  • Cook them for 5 minutes on one side and 5 minutes on the other or until they change to an opaque green color and lightly brown.
  • Place the cheese slices on top and let them cook for 5 more minutes until slightly melted. Do not flip.
  • Serve.
