Pea Tart

I present to you a delicious tart, perfect for a tasty snack or to be enjoyed as a main dish. This dish is ideal for those who do not like or cannot eat meat. It is delicious.

  • 300 grams pea
  • 500 grams dough, shortcrust
  • 1 red onion
  • cheeses, Grated Massdam
  • olive oil , to taste
  • salt , to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • dried oregano, to taste

  • Preheat the oven to 200º C.
  • Place the dough lining a mold (remove any excess), prick with a fork, cover with parchment paper, add dried chickpeas, and bake for about 15 minutes.
  • In a pan with olive oil, sauté the onion, and when it starts to color, add the peas, season with salt and pepper, cover, and let simmer for about 25 minutes on low heat. Stir occasionally.
  • When there are 5 minutes left, add the oregano and cheese. Stir a bit, remove from heat, let rest for about 5 minutes. Pour over the reserved dough.
  • Sprinkle with a little more grated cheese. Bake for about 15 minutes.
