Red Beans in Red Wine

  • 200 grams red beans legumes La Asturiana®
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 glass red wine, Gran Viña® *
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil, Sierra de Gata® *
  • salt, Espuma de Mar® *

  • We rinse the red beans and soak them the night before.
  • We cut the vegetables into uniform cubes and sauté them in a pot with a little olive oil.
  • When they start to brown, we add the red wine, sauté the mix and add the beans with the soaking water.
  • We cook the mixture over medium heat for 3 hours in a regular pot and for 1 hour in a pressure cooker. During this time, the heat will evaporate all the alcohol from the wine.
  • We season the beans with salt and serve them rested after 30 minutes.
