Rice Milk

Rice milk is ideal for people who are lactose intolerant or for those who do not consume dairy products, such as vegans.

  • 2 tablespoons rice
  • 1 liter water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, or honey
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • vanilla essence, optional
  • cinnamon, optional

  • Soak the 2 tablespoons of rice in water for 1 hour.
  • Rinse the rice and put it in a pot with one liter of water. Leave it on high heat for 10-12 minutes.
  • Add the tablespoon of sugar and the sunflower oil.
  • When it begins to boil, we should lower the heat. Leave it for another 10 minutes, adding a pinch of salt.
  • After that time, you can add vanilla and cinnamon if you want. You can omit this step.
  • Let the mixture cool and blend the preparation.
  • Strain with the help of a fine mesh strainer or a cloth strainer to remove the smallest residues. Refrigerate.
