Stuffed Vegetables

This is an easy recipe to make and super complete as it deliciously combines vegetables and protein, giving a twist to everyday ingredients.

  • 4 red beefsteak tomatoes
  • 400 grams ground meat, you can mix beef and pork
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 100 grams nut , chopped
  • 100 grams almonds, sliced
  • 1/2 cups tomato purée

  • Preheat the oven to 120°C.
  • Heat the oil in the pan.
  • Chop the onion into small cubes along with the garlic cloves.
  • Sauté the onion and garlic, add the ground meat.
  • Cook over low heat until done; season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the walnuts and almonds.
  • Adjust the seasoning and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Using a spoon, remove the centers from the tomatoes without breaking them. Fill the tomatoes with the ground meat.
  • Place the tomatoes on a baking tray or dish and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Let it rest and serve.
