Vegetarian Hamburger with Hummus, Chia and Capers

Enjoy delicious hamburgers with all the flavor of hummus. Its balanced mixture of ingredients, will make you unable to resist eating only one.

  • 1 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cups broccoli, cooked and chopped
  • 1/4 cups chia seeds, hydrated
  • 2 tablespoons capers, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups Hummus Libanius®, 2 tablespoons for the hamburger mix
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups cornstarch
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 3 pinches salt
  • 8 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1 red beefsteak tomato, in slices
  • 4 tablespoons pickled Jalapeño chile, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons Libanius® natural dry jocoque
  • 4 hamburger buns

  • Mix in a bowl the mashed potatoes, the broccoli, the chia, the capers, 2 tablespoons of hummus, the onion, the garlic, the corn starch and season. You should have a homogenous mask.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat, form the burgers with the previous mixture and fry, taking care not to break them. For 6 minutes 3 on each side.
  • Heat the rolls in a griddle a few seconds per side, form the hamburger.
  • Place arugula on a piece of bread, then add hummus, place the vegetarian burger, the slice of tomato, jocoque, jalapeño peppers and end up covering with the other piece of bread.
