Watermelon and Chili Piquín Water

  • 500 grams watermelon, seedless and cut into cubes
  • 1/4 cups lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoons table salt
  • 2 tablespoons Splenda, Granulated Sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon chile powder, extra fine salt-free
  • 1 liter water, natural
  • 5 drops food coloring, red

  • For the agua fresca: Blend the watermelon, lime juice, SPLENDA® Granulated, table salt, ¾ tablespoon of chili piquín, and water.
  • Strain the mixture and place it in a bowl, reserving 1/3 of it.
  • Place the remaining 2/3 of the mixture in a pitcher and refrigerate.
  • For the ice: In the reserved 1/3 of the mixture, add 5 drops of red vegetable coloring and stir well.
  • Fill an ice mold with this mixture and sprinkle with chili piquín.
  • Serve the water in a glass with the ice.
