Chicken Bake

  • 3/4 cups water, warm, 200 milliliters
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups flour, 400 grams
  • 11 grams dry yeast, 1 packet of 11 grams

  • 2 cups chicken breast, cooked, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and, if desired, seasoning juice
  • 1 cup bacon, fried, chopped
  • 1/2 cups ranch dressing
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded, for garnish

  • Mix the warm water, oil, and salt in a bowl until combined. Remember that the water should be warm to help activate the yeast more effectively.
  • On a surface, form a volcano with the flour and gradually add the mixture of warm water and oil; start to integrate with your clean hands. Once you have incorporated all the liquid, add the yeast while continuing to mix. Knead for 12 minutes until you have an elastic mixture, form a ball with the dough and place it in a bowl previously greased with olive oil, also add a little oil on top of the dough to prevent it from drying out and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rest for 1 hour to ferment and allow the dough to double in size. Do this in a warm place, it can be near the oven or stove.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  • Once the time has passed, transfer the dough to a floured surface and punch it down with your fist, then divide it into 2 equal portions; roll out each portion into a rectangular shape with a thickness of half a centimeter. Fill each rectangle of dough with cooked chicken breast, fried bacon, ranch dressing, shredded Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese; fold it into an envelope shape, tucking the edges underneath.
  • Transfer the pieces to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with egg, and cover with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20 minutes at 200 °C.
  • Serve, cut, and accompany with more Ranch dressing.
