Arab Bread with Chicken Pita and Yoghurt

Prepare this healthy arab bread filled with chicken pita and Yoghurt FAGE Total® 0%. It’s perfect if you want a light and flavorful meal. It features a spiced marinade and a delicious tzatziki sauce with cucumber.

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 sprig peppermint
  • 2 garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 chicken breasts, slightly flattened
  • 1 tablespoon cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoons ginger powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sea ​​salt

  • Peel the cucumber and grate it. Place the grated cucumber on absorbent paper and let it sit for 5 minutes to remove as much water as possible.
  • Grate the garlic cloves, chop the fresh mint, and place them in a bowl. Add the drained cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, and Yoghurt FAGE Total® 0%.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix until all ingredients are combined and set aside in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • For the marinade, mix cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.
  • Grate another garlic clove and add it to the spices along with finely chopped cilantro. Add olive oil, lemon juice, and sea salt.
  • Place the two chicken breasts in the marinade and make sure to cover them completely. Cover the dish and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours, heat a grill and place the chicken breasts on it. Cook them on each side until they easily release from the grill. During cooking, baste the breasts with the marinade to create a crispy and flavorful crust.
  • Remove the chicken breasts from the heat and slice them into strips. Heat the arab bread and place lettuce, chicken strips, and tzatziki sauce on top.
