Easy Orange Chicken Recipe

  • 1 kilo chicken breast, in medium cubes

  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 cups Smucker's® Orange Marmalade, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups apple cider vinegar, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chile flakes, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped, for the sauce
  • 1/4 cups soy sauce, for the sauce

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  • Season the chicken cubes with salt and pepper and set aside.In a bowl, beat the eggs, add the chicken cubes, and mix until well combined.Drain the chicken to remove excess egg, coat with flour and cornstarch, and set aside.
  • Fry the chicken cubes in enough oil over medium heat for 8 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain and set aside.
  • For the sauce: in a skillet, mix Smucker’s® Orange Marmalade, apple cider vinegar, chili flakes, garlic cloves, and soy sauce. Cook for 2 minutes or until all ingredients are combined, then add the chicken cubes and cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Serve the orange chicken, accompany with steamed rice, and garnish with green onions.
