If you are a fan of Chinese food, you will love this crispy sweet and sour chicken. And the best part is that it is made with ketchup and other ingredients you can find at home.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and spray a baking sheet with oil.
To make the sauce: Mix in a bowl the sugar, Clemente Jacques ® ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
Cut the chicken breast into approximately 2 cm cubes. Season with salt and pepper.
Coat the chicken cubes with cornstarch and then dip them in the beaten eggs.
Heat a little oil in a pan and add the chicken until it browns slightly, approximately 2 minutes.
Place it on a baking sheet and coat it with the sweet and sour sauce. Bake for 40 minutes or until the sauce is completely absorbed. After 20 minutes, turn the chicken to cook it evenly.
Serve immediately accompanied by steamed rice, chopped green onions, and toasted sesame seeds.
