Chipotle Marinated Pork Tacos

Enjoy preparing these tacos quickly and deliciously; you only need San Marcos® Chipotle Peppers in Adobo, tomato, and orange for the ideal flavor for any meal or dinner. Serve with lime to taste and pickled onions.

  • 1/4 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 tomatoes, quartered
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon clove
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 cups San Marcos® chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
  • salt

  • 600 grams pork steak
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 12 corn tortillas, hot
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped, for serving
  • 1/2 cups cilantro, leaves, for serving
  • lime, in thirds, for serving

  • On a hot comal over medium heat, roast the onion along with the garlic cloves and tomatoes until the skin of these ingredients begins to darken; don't forget to move them constantly for even roasting. Remove from heat.
  • Blend the onion with the garlic and roasted tomatoes, orange juice, cloves, cumin, oregano, and San Marcos® Chipotle Peppers in Adobo until you obtain a homogeneous sauce; season with salt and pepper.
  • In a large container, place the pork steak and pour the sauce over it until the meat is completely covered. Let marinate for a minimum of 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • In a skillet with hot vegetable oil, cook the marinated meat for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Place the meat on a cutting board and cut into medium-thick strips.
  • To assemble your taco, place the marinated meat on a warm tortilla, serve with onion and garlic. Accompany with lime and pickled onions.
