  • 3 cups wheat flour, for the dough
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil, for the dough
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for the dough
  • 1 tablespoon salt, for the dough
  • 1 cup water, for the dough
  • 1 cup Spanish chorizo, for the filling
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, grated, for the filling
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • salsa macha, for serving
  • Sidral Mundet® Strawberry-Kiwi Flavor, for serving

  • Beat the flour, oil, sugar, salt, and water at medium speed until well combined. Knead on a flat surface for 10 minutes or until smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough on a flat surface. Let it rest for 20 minutes before cutting.
  • Use a 15 cm diameter lid to cut the dough. Fill with cheese and chorizo, close the empanada, and press to prevent the filling from spilling out. Form several empanadas and set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat and fry each empanada for 5 minutes. Place on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
  • Serve the choriqueso empanadas with macha sauce and Sidral Mundet® Strawberry-Kiwi flavor.
