  • vegetable oil
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tomato
  • 4 guajillo chiles, seedless
  • 3 ancho chiles, seedless
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 500 grams pressed pork rinds
  • 1 kilo masa dough
  • lard
  • sour cream
  • cheese
  • cilantro
  • 1 bottle Sidral Mundet® Apple flavor

  • Sauté the onion, garlic, tomato, guajillo chiles, and ancho chiles in a skillet with a little oil for 3 minutes. Add salt, pepper, and chicken broth and cook for 5 minutes. Blend until you obtain a smooth adobo.
  • Place the pressed chicharrón in another pan, pour in the adobo, and cook for 5 minutes or until well cooked. Adjust the seasoning and let cool.
  • Take a portion of dough, form a ball, hollow it out, and fill it with the chicharrón. Flatten the gordita with a tortilla press.
  • Cook the gorditas in a skillet with a little lard for 3 minutes on each side or until well cooked.
  • Decorate the Christmas chicharrón gorditas with cream, cheese, and cilantro leaves. Serve with Sidral Mundet® Apple flavor!
