Delicious Lentil Burger

This burger is perfect for a meatless Monday as it contains no animal products; the combination of flavors along with the spicy chile mayonnaise will make you unable to stop eating it.

  • 2 cups lentils, cooked, without broth
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Knorr® beef bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 dried árbol chiles, seedless and stemless
  • 1/4 teaspoons onion powder
  • 5 tablespoons Hellmann'S® reduced fat mayonnaise
  • 4 burger buns

  • For the burgers, place the lentils in a food processor until a fine puree is obtained.
  • Mix the lentil puree with the egg, breadcrumbs, Knorr® Beef Flavor Broth, cumin, turmeric, and parsley.
  • Form 4 burgers and cook them in a hot skillet with oil until browned on both sides.
  • For the mayonnaise, cook the chiles in boiling water and blend with a little water until a fine puree forms.
  • Mix the chile puree with onion powder and Hellmann's® Reduced Fat.
  • Warm the buns and spread mayonnaise on them, place a burger on each one and close them with the other half of the bun. Serve.
