  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cups onion
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 3 cups turkey, or shredded, from reheating
  • 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons pickled chiles
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 package Doña María® ready-to-serve red mole sauce
  • sour cream, for serving
  • queso fresco, crumbled, for serving
  • red onion, sliced, for serving
  • parsley, in leaves, for serving
  • sesame seeds, toasted, for serving

  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the onion and garlic. Add the turkey, cook for 3 minutes, and incorporate the broth and the chili pickling liquid. Cook until the turkey is tender and the liquid has reduced.
  • On a griddle, warm the corn tortillas to soften them. Fill with the turkey and roll to form the tacos. Secure with a wooden toothpick if necessary.
  • Fry the tacos in hot oil in a deep skillet until golden brown and drain on paper towels.
  • Heat the ready-to-serve red mole Doña María® in a pot over medium heat.
  • Serve three tacos on a plate, drizzle with the mole, and garnish with cream, cheese, onion, parsley, and a bit of sesame seeds.
