Mexican Flautas

This recipe for Mexican Flautas is very easy and quick to make. Flautas are traditional Mexican tacos made with corn tortillas, and the filling can be potato, cheese, or chicken. The secret of these flautas is that they are fried in oil. Prepare this delicious and easy recipe.

  • 24 corn tortillas
  • 1/2 kilos meat, to shred
  • 1/4 liters sour cream

  • Boil the meat for an hour with salt, 2 or 3 unpeeled whole garlic cloves, slices of onion, and enough water.
  • Once cooked, let it cool, shred it, warm the tortillas, roll the meat in them, and secure with a toothpick so that they don’t come out.
  • Fry them in hot oil until golden brown and transfer to a serving dish, then add lettuce and drizzle with a sauce made from blended avocado, cream, and a little milk, adding cilantro to taste.
  • They can also be made with chicken by boiling the chicken along with some oregano and chopped tomato.
  • Another sauce could be 1/4 liter of cream, a quarter of a green tomato, chili to taste, cilantro, and lettuce.
  • Cook the tomato with the chili and then blend with the cream.
