Armored Tacos

  • 1 1/2 cups milk, for breading
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for breading
  • salt, for breading
  • pepper, for breading
  • 6 beef cutlets
  • 1 cup flour, for breading
  • 3 eggs, battered, for breading
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs, for breading
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 500 grams corn tortillas, hot
  • 3 cups Mexican red rice, for serving
  • guacamole, for serving

  • Pour the milk into a bowl and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and add the breaded steak using tongs, then coat in flour, covering both sides completely, then dip in the egg and breadcrumbs. Repeat the same process until all the beef steaks are done. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the breaded steaks until they turn brown, remove from heat and drain excess grease. Then, cut the beef steaks into strips. Set aside.
  • To assemble the armored tacos: Place two tortillas on a plate, then add enough rice, the breaded steak strips, and serve with guacamole.
