Chocolate tamales with mole

Tamales are a classic of Mexican cuisine, as you can find them everywhere in street stalls. However, we wanted to create a unique and delicious version: ¡chocolate tamales with mole!   • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cups Doña María® Mole
  • 3 tablets Mexican chocolate
  • 1 3/4 cups masa mix for tamales
  • 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 cups butter
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • corn husks, soaked

  • Heat the water, Mole Doña María®, and table chocolate in a pot until the chocolate and mole are completely dissolved and incorporated. Set aside and let cool.
  • In a bowl, mix the tamal flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt until combined. Set aside.
  • Cream the butter with a mixer, add the chocolate mixture with Mole Doña María® and continue beating. Finally, add the flour mixture and the water alternately until you obtain a well-integrated dough.
