Delicious Pozole Tostadas

During the patriotic celebrations, there are also leftovers, and to give a very original twist to your second day of eating pozole, this tostadas recipe is perfect. Additionally, this is an excellent way to make the most of your pozole. To ensure the tostadas turn out perfect, let the pozole drain well and don't forget to serve them with cream, cheese, lettuce, radishes, and a tasty salsa.

  • 1 bag Charras® hominy, (800 grams)
  • 1 kilo pork, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 onions
  • 1 head garlic
  • bay
  • 5 guajillo chiles, cleaned and soaked, for the sauce
  • 2 ancho chiles, cleaned and soaked, for the sauce
  • 1/4 onions, for the sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, for the red sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for the sauce
  • aromatic herbs, for the sauce
  • 12 Charras® original flavor yellow tostadas
  • 1/2 cups sour cream, from the ranch, for serving
  • lettuce, cut into strips, for serving
  • radish, sliced, for serving
  • queso fresco, shredded, for serving
  • salsa, for serving

  • Cook the Pozolero Charras® corn in a pot with boiling water until the grain bursts.
  • Add the pork, salt, garlic, onion, bay leaf, and cook until the meat is done. Drain the corn kernels along with the meat and set aside.
  • For the red sauce, blend the guajillo chili, ancho chili, onion, and garlic.
  • Heat the oil over medium heat, add the sauce, season with salt and pepper, add the meat with the pozole corn, the herbs, and cook for 10 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.
  • Spread cream on each of the Tostadas Charras® yellow original flavor, add the pozole, lettuce, cream, radishes, cheese, and salsa.
  • Serve accompanied by fresh water.
