Fried Burrito Stuffed with Beans and Cotija Cheese with Green Sauce

This burrito is completely different from the others; it is filled with beans and cotija cheese that will give it all the necessary flavor. Pair it with a delicious cooked green sauce; it will perfectly combine with the texture of the flour tortillas.

  • 4 Tía Rosa® wheat flour tortillas
  • 300 grams refried beans
  • 250 grams Cotija cheese, cut into sticks
  • 500 grams tomatillo, cooked
  • 1/8 garlic and onions, cooked
  • 5 serrano chiles, cooked
  • 100 grams cheddar cheese, grated
  • 150 milliliters sour cream
  • 3 pinches salt
  • 2 pinches ground pepper
  • 300 milliliters vegetable oil

  • Heat the Tía Rosa® Tortillinas® and add refried beans and two sticks of cheese, wrap it up and secure with a toothpick to prevent the filling from coming out.
  • Blend the tomato, chili, garlic, and onion without liquid and fry with a little oil, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
  • Heat the oil and fry the burritos, stirring constantly so they brown evenly and don’t burn. Remove and drain before serving.
  • Place green sauce in a deep plate, put the fried burrito on top of the sauce, and add cheddar cheese and cream.
