Gorditacos

We reinvent gorditas and tacos with this amazing recipe, which combines chorizo and Oaxaca cheese with a touch of pineapple, onion, cilantro, and guacamole. Don't forget to serve the gorditacos with your Sidral Mundet® Apple flavor!

  • 500 grams masa dough
  • salt
  • water
  • Oaxaca cheese
  • vegetable oil
  • 2 cups chorizo
  • 1 cup pineapple, in cubes
  • onion, finely chopped
  • cilantro, finely chopped
  • guacamole, for serving
  • lime, for serving

  • For the dough: Add the corn dough, a little salt, and water in a bowl. Knead until combined, form a ball, press to make a small indentation, and fill with Oaxaca cheese. Then, wrap with the same dough to close the gordita and flatten until you achieve a thickness of 1 cm. Set aside.
  • Fry the cheese gorditas in a skillet with enough oil for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Place the gorditas on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Add the chorizo to a skillet over medium heat, sauté for 10 minutes or until golden, add the pineapple cubes and cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Assemble your gorditacos with the chorizo, onion, cilantro, guacamole, and lime juice. Enjoy these gorditacos with the refreshing flavor of Sidral Mundet® Apple!
