1 cup vegetable shortening, at room temperature (200 g for the dough)
500 grams tomatillo, (for the filling)
2 cloves garlic, (for the filling)
1 onion, (for the filling)
2 cups water, (for the filling)
2 tablespoons salt, (one for the dough and another for the filling)
1 teaspoon pepper, (for the filling)
1 chicken breast, cooked and shredded

In a large pot, soak the corn husks in hot water for 20 minutes. Drain.
For the dough, mix the flour with the chicken broth and salt. In an electric mixer, cream the vegetable shortening and gradually incorporate the flour mixture until you obtain a smooth dough.
For the sauce, roast the tomatoes, garlic, onion, and chiles on a griddle until well cooked.
Blend them in a blender with water and season with salt and pepper.
Form the tamales by spreading a corn husk and placing two tablespoons of dough, a little chicken, and sauce. Close and tie.
In a steamer, add water, place it on the stove over high heat until it heats up. Place the tamales carefully so they don't get crushed, cover, and let cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until they are cooked.
