Hunt's Original BBQ Carnitas Pizza

Hunt's Original BBQ Carnitas Pizza, served with melted manchego cheese, onion, cilantro, and pork cracklings. Something different you can prepare on any occasion, it's perfect for sharing with friends on a weekend.

  • 100 grams tomato sauce, Hunt's
  • 200 grams Manchego cheese, grated
  • 300 grams pork carnitas
  • 100 grams pork rinds, chopped
  • 20 grams fresh cilantro
  • 100 grams onion

  • Dissolve the water with the salt. Hydrate the yeast. Make a well with the flour. Add the previously hydrated yeast and the water with the salt. Knead until integrated and achieve a homogeneous dough, add Hunt's ® Honey BBQ Sauce. Continue kneading until obtaining an elastic dough with a smooth surface. Let it ferment until the dough doubles in volume and set aside.
  • Place the lard in a copper pot over medium heat until it starts to smoke. Add the meat, piece by piece. Slice the orange and add it to the pot. After 40 minutes of cooking, add the cola, orange juice, evaporated milk, and Hunt's ® Original BBQ Sauce. Mix the water with the salt and add. Let it cook until the meat is golden on the outside and tender on the inside. Drain the fat, cut the meat into medium cubes, and brush with Hunt's ® Original BBQ Sauce.
  • Punch and stretch the dough. Shape the pizza until reaching the desired size. Add tomato sauce, from the center to the corners in a circular motion. Add grated manchego cheese and Hunt's BBQ carnitas. Bake the pizza at 250°C for 10 mins.
  • Chop the cilantro, onion, and avocado. Cut the pork cracklings and set aside.
  • Remove from the oven and add onion, cilantro, avocado, and pieces of pork cracklings. Cut and plate.
