Spinach Patties

  • 4 cups spinach, in strips
  • water
  • salt
  • 2 cups potato, in small cubes, precooked
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 box Ground Tomatoes with Del Fuerte® Habanero Chile, 210 g
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • rice, for serving

  • Cook the spinach with enough water and salt over medium heat for 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix the spinach with the potatoes, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Form the patties and set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the patties, and fry for 10 minutes. Pour over the Del Fuerte® Tomato Sauce with Habanero Chile and chicken broth. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Serve the spinach patties on a flat plate and accompany with rice.
