We are such fans of chiles en nogada that we were inspired by this Mexican dish to create these tostadas with strips and meat for lunchtime, as it is a delicious option with a very Mexican flavor, but it is also a practical choice for the patriotic festivities.   • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon celery, finely chopped
  • 2 cups ground beef
  • 1 cup tomato soup
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 cups Poblano chile strips
  • 1/2 cups Golden Delicious apple, in small cubes
  • 1/2 cups pear, in small cubes
  • 1/2 cups peach, in small cubes
  • 1 cup almonds, sliced
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cups double cream cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • tostadas
  • pomegranate
  • parsley, for garnish

Low
  • Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the onion, garlic, and ground meat, and cook for 8 minutes. Then, pour in the broth, add salt and the strips, and cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Add the fruit, apple, pear, peach, and almonds to the same skillet and cook for 5 more minutes. Set aside.
  • For the cream: blend the cream, walnut, double cream cheese, salt, and pepper for 2 minutes or until you get a smooth sauce. Set aside.
  • Serve the tostadas with strips and meat and garnish with a bit of the cream, pomegranate, and parsley. Pair with Sidral Mundet® apple flavor.
