Pasta with zucchini flower sauce

As you may already know, zucchini flower is one of the main edible flowers in our country, as it is present in recipes for soups, quesadillas, stews, and more. Additionally, it is worth noting that this edible flower is rich in vitamins and minerals, making it ideal to include in your dishes.On this occasion, at Kiwilimón we took on the task of creating a pasta with zucchini flower sauce with the help of our friends from La Moderna®.   • water, for cooking the pasta
  • salt
  • 1 package La Moderna® penne rigate
  • 1 1/2 cups zucchini blossoms, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • 1 can table cream, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • 1/4 onions, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • 1 package cream cheese, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • 1 cup milk, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • salt, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • pepper, for the zucchini flower sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup zucchini blossoms
  • corn baby, for decoration
  • cilantro, finely chopped

  • Heat enough water in a pot, add salt, and bring to a boil again. Then, add La Moderna® Pluma and cook for 8 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  • Blend the zucchini flowers, half cream, garlic, onion, cream cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Set aside the zucchini flower sauce.
  • Heat the butter in a skillet, sauté the zucchini flowers for 2 minutes, pour in the sauce and cook for 1 minute. Add La Moderna® Pluma pasta, mix, and cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Serve the pasta with zucchini flower sauce on a plate and garnish with baby corn and cilantro.
