Sushi Rice

Here we present a recipe to prepare basic rice to start in the addictive world of Sushi. A very simple recipe to make, where you only need sushi rice, water, rice vinegar, salt, and sugar. With this rice, you can prepare your favorite rolls.

  • 1 kilo sushi rice
  • 2 cups rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salt

  • Wash the rice in a strainer until the water runs clear.
  • Add vinegar, sugar, and salt to a pot, heat until dissolved and everything is integrated, and has a slight golden hue.
  • Add to a pot the same amount of rice as water, cook on high heat, and when it reaches a boil, lower the flame to a simmer, count 15 minutes, turn off, and leave covered.
  • While the rice is still hot, integrate the vinegar mixture.
