Fruit BBQ Shrimp

Shrimp seasoned with Mediterranean spices, caramelized with Hunt's original sauce and grilled. Served with a tropical sauce made from exotic fruits, simply finger-licking good. I hope you enjoy it a lot.

  • 800 grams shrimp, U16
  • 15 grams garlic
  • 15 grams ginger
  • 10 grams salt
  • 5 grams pepper
  • 15 grams paprika
  • 15 grams cinnamon powder
  • 15 grams cilantro seeds
  • 5 grams cumin
  • 10 grams chile powder
  • 50 milliliters lime juice
  • 30 milliliters olive oil
  • 10 grams peppermint
  • 100 grams passion fruit pulp, seedless
  • 5 manila mangoes
  • 100 grams butter
  • 200 grams Hunt´S ® original bbq sauce
  • 50 grams yellow bell pepper
  • 30 milliliters fish sauce
  • 70 grams red onion
  • 20 milliliters sesame oil
  • 1 liter water

  • Peel the shrimp. Reserve the shells and heads.
  • In the blender, add 7g of paprika, 7g of ground cinnamon, 7g of ground coriander seeds, 5g of salt, 7g of ginger, 7g of garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper, mint, and blend well.
  • Marinate the shrimp in the previous mixture for 24 hours.
  • Finely chop the bell pepper, red onion, the rest of the garlic, and ginger; extract the pulp from the mangoes.
  • Heat a skillet and pour in the butter, sesame oil, add the garlic, ginger, bell pepper, shrimp heads, and shells, and cook until they change color; add the rest of the seasonings, sauté for 2 minutes, and add the passion fruit pulp, mango pulp, pour in the fish sauce and water, add the rest of the salt and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and coat them completely with Hunt's Original BBQ Sauce.
  • Remove the heads and shrimp shells from the sauce and blend the sauce until homogeneous and reserve.
  • Place the shrimp on the grill until the Hunt's Original BBQ Sauce caramelizes and serve with the exotic fruit sauce.
