Skillet pizza rolls

Give a twist to traditional pizza and prepare it in a more creative way with Tres Estrellas® pizza flour. In this recipe, we will teach you how to make pizza rolls that are designed for you to take anywhere.

  • 1 box Tres Estrellas® pizza flour
  • 1 cup water, warm
  • La Moderna® pasta sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups Manchego cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup pepperoni
  • basil, fresh, finely chopped

  • Add the Tres Estrellas® pizza flour to a bowl, slowly pour in the water, and knead by hand for 12 minutes or until you achieve an elastic consistency. Shape the dough into a ball, cover with a cloth, and let it rest in a bowl for 20 minutes or until it doubles in size.
  • Punch down the dough and, using a rolling pin, roll it out on a flat surface with a little flour; once you have the dough rolled out, spread a little La Moderna® pasta sauce, sprinkle cheese and pepperoni, roll it up, and cut into 2-inch thick rolls.
  • Arrange the pizza rolls in a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle a little more cheese, cover, and cook on low heat.
  • Serve the pizza rolls on a platter and garnish with basil; accompany with more La Moderna® pasta sauce!
