Spinach Calzone with Mozzarella Cheese

Pizza is one of our favorite dishes; enjoy this calzone with a creamy spinach filling and a crispy pizza dough.

  • 2 cups Great Value® wheat flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 11 grams dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Great Value® plain salt
  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cups spinach, cut into strips
  • 190 grams cream cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • salt and pepper

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour with the water, add the yeast, salt, and knead until incorporated.
  • Add the olive oil and knead for 10 more minutes until you have a dough. Let it rest until it doubles in size.
  • In a pan over medium heat, heat the oil and add the onion, spinach, cream cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 4 mm and cut into a circle with a diameter of 30 cm.
  • Add the spinach mixture, add the mozzarella cheese, and fold it like a turnover, making 3 cuts to allow the dough to breathe. Bake for 20 minutes. Buy HERE
