Homemade Falafel

  • 2 cups chickpeas, soaked 1 night before
  • 1 can Hummus Libanius®, 650 g
  • 1/2 cups fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cups fresh cilantro
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • salt and pepper
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • Hummus Libanius®, for serving

  • In a processor, place the chickpeas, add Hummus Libanius®, fresh parsley, fresh cilantro, garlic, cumin, season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the preparation in a bowl and add the breadcrumbs, baking soda, mix until combined
  • Form balls the size of a meatball, set aside.
  • In a medium skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and add the meatballs, cook until golden brown.
  • Serve with Hummus Libanius®.
