  • 2 cups lentils, cooked
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 sprig celery
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro
  • 1/4 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Knorr® granulated chicken bouillon, 100% Natural
  • vegetable oil
  • 10 tomatillos, for the sauce
  • 3 serrano chiles, for the sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, for the sauce
  • 1/4 onions, for the sauce
  • 2 cups water, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Knorr® granulated chicken bouillon, 100% Natural, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • For the patties, blend the lentils, onion, garlic, celery, cilantro, bread crumbs, and cumin with Knorr® 100% Natural Chicken Broth in a food processor. Using your hands, form medium-sized patties. Set aside.
  • For the sauce, in a small pot with oil, fry the tomatoes, serrano chili, garlic, and onion over medium heat for 5 minutes; then pour in the water, add Knorr® 100% Natural Chicken Broth, and cook for another 10 minutes. Let cool and blend. Set aside.
  • Fry the patties on both sides in a pan over medium heat with oil until they are golden brown.
  • In a small pot over medium heat, heat the oil, pour in the sauce, and cook for 10 minutes until it thickens.
  • Serve the sauce with the lentil patties, accompanied by pot beans and tortillas.
