Casarecce with pesto and Brie cheese

  • 1 package Barilla® Collection Casarecce 500 g
  • 4 tablespoons Barilla® Pesto Sauce
  • water, for the pesto
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons raw sugar
  • 1/4 cups honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup pear
  • 1/4 cups Brie cheese, sliced, for garnish

  • Heat the water in a pot over medium heat, and once it comes to a boil, season with salt and add Barilla® Collezione Casarecce 500 g. Cook for 9 minutes or according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook Barilla® Pesto Sauce in a deep pan over medium heat for 3 minutes and gradually pour in the water until dissolved. Then, add the Barilla® Collezione Casarecce 500 g. Set aside.
  • For the pears: melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sugar, honey, ground cinnamon, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes or until well combined.
  • Mix the pears with the previous preparation and set aside.
  • Serve the pasta and garnish with Brie cheese and caramelized pear.
