Ham and Cheese Cannelloni

These delicious ham and cheese cannelloni are ideal for your whole family, made with lasagna sheets and prepared with the delicious Zwan® Leg Ham, which is perfect for pairing with everything from a sandwich to these cannelloni.

  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the pasta
  • 500 grams lasagna sheets
  • 1 package Zwan® leg ham, 250 g
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, in slices, for the filling
  • 2 tablespoons butter, in cubes, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons flour, for the sauce
  • 2 cups whole milk, for the sauce
  • salt, for the sauce
  • pepper, for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons nutmeg, for the sauce
  • 1 cup Manchego cheese, grated, for the sauce
  • Parmesan cheese

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Boil water in a pot and add salt, and when it returns to a boil, cook the lasagna sheets one by one for 3 minutes so they don’t break; this way they will remain elastic and easier to handle.
  • To form the rolls, place a sheet of pasta on a plate, top with Zwan® Leg Ham and then cheese; roll it up, and then place them in a tall round mold.
  • For the sauce, in a pot, melt the butter, add the flour, and cook and mix until it changes to a slightly golden color. Then add the milk and stir until it has a thick consistency; season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add the grated manchego cheese, cook for 6 more minutes over low heat. Let cool slightly.
  • Add the sauce to the baking dish with the pasta rolls and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C. Serve and accompany with a salad.
