Crab Carbonara Pasta

This pasta with a creamy bacon sauce includes crab, shallot, garlic, and red pepper. It's exquisite!

  • 250 grams bacon, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon shallot
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons red bell pepper, chopped
  • 6 tablespoons orange juice
  • 3/4 cups crab meat
  • 2 cups pasta, cooked

  • Cook the bacon in a hot pan over medium-low heat until cooked. Drain the fat that is released.
  • Add the cream and bring to a boil. Add the egg yolk and stir well. Allow to cool slightly.
  • In another hot pan, add the vegetable oil, garlic, shallot, and red pepper. Sauté until the shallot is translucent and the pepper is soft.
  • Add the clam juice and crab meat. Once the liquid is reduced by 25%, lower the temperature and add the prepared creamy sauce.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the pan and stir.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste
