Christmas Tuna Lasagna

Prepare this incredible Christmas lasagna based on Natural Tuna, with a very quick and easy tomato sauce. This delicious sauce includes a bit of sun-dried tomato, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, tomato with a touch of marjoram and baked with mozzarella cheese.

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cups celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 red bell peppers
  • 2 cups button mushrooms, chopped
  • 1/4 cups tomato, chopped, peeled and seeded
  • 1 1/4 cups tomato purée
  • 4 Dolores® premium yellow fin tuna medallions, cut into large cubes
  • 1/2 cups sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram
  • 2 leaves bay
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 10 lasagna sheets, (sheets) cooked
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cups cherry tomato, for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with olive oil and fry the garlic, celery, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, tomato, cook for 5 minutes, add the tomato puree and cook for 5 more minutes, add the cubes of Dolores® Yellowfin Tuna Medallions, the sun-dried tomato and season with marjoram, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Set the filling aside.
  • In a greased dish, place a layer of lasagna sheets, add a layer of filling and a layer of mozzarella cheese, repeat the same process to achieve the desired layers. In the last layer, add a layer of lasagna sheets and mozzarella cheese, a few cherry tomatoes.
  • Bake the lasagna for 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden. Serve and enjoy.
