Macaroni with Creamy Baked Sauce

Simple and economical recipe for macaroni bathed in a creamy tomato sauce and baked in the oven.

  • 1 package elbow pasta
  • 1 package tomato purée, small
  • 250 milliliters whipping cream
  • 200 grams deli ham, in slices
  • 1 package American cheese, or manchego cheese in slices
  • 1 can bell pepper, in strips
  • 1 pinch chicken bullion
  • 1 pinch black pepper

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • Cut the ham and cheese into small cubes.
  • Mix the cream with the puree, chicken broth, and pepper to taste.
  • Spread a little butter in a baking dish and place a layer of macaroni, then pieces of ham, cheese, and bell pepper, followed by a layer of cream sauce, and repeat once more.
  • Place in a preheated oven at 180° C and bake for approximately 10 minutes or until the sauce is bubbling. Remove from the oven.
