Macaroni with Poblano Strips

A mix that not everyone knows, but is delicious, is the combination of poblano pepper with pasta.   • water, for the pasta
  • 1 package elbow pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, in strips
  • 2 cups Poblano chile strips
  • 1/2 cups yellow corn
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • parsley, finely chopped

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water to a boil, and once it starts boiling, add the macaroni and cook for 8 minutes, or we recommend reading the package instructions carefully. Drain and set aside.
  • In a hot deep skillet, melt the butter, then add the garlic and onion and cook until they are translucent. Next, add the strips along with the yellow corn, sauté and season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir well and cook for 5 minutes, then add the cream and mozzarella cheese, mix evenly, cover, and cook until the cheese melts, adjust seasoning, and remove from heat.
  • Serve on a plate, garnish with parsley. This pasta can be eaten warm or at room temperature, depending on your family's preferences, and we recommend pairing it with a glass of Del Valle Frut® Citrus.
