Marinara Pasta with Shrimp

This pasta is a comforting dish, easy to prepare, and does not sacrifice the delicious slightly acidic flavor contributed by the tomatoes, a bit spicy and seasoned by the garlic and onion, and the herbal notes enhanced by McCORMICK® Fine Herb Sea Salt.

  • 4 cups tomato
  • olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons McCORMICK® Sea Salt with Fine Herbs
  • McCORMICK® Sea Salt with Fine Herbs
  • water
  • 1 package fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups shrimp
  • McCORMICK® Sea Salt with Fine Herbs
  • McCORMICK® pepper
  • Parmesan cheese

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the onion and garlic for 5 minutes, until the onion is translucent; add the tomato and lower the temperature a bit, cook for another 10 minutes, until the tomato breaks down, the texture should be semi-granular. Add the two tablespoons of McCORMICK® Fine Herb Sea Salt and mix; remove from heat and set aside.
  • Heat water until boiling and add enough McCORMICK® Fine Herb Sea Salt, cook the pasta for 10 minutes. Set aside.
  • Heat a skillet and melt butter and olive oil, cook the shrimp there for 5 minutes and season with McCORMICK® Fine Herb Sea Salt and McCORMICK® pepper.
  • Serve the pasta with the sauce and shrimp, garnish with Parmesan cheese.
