Okonomiyaki is one of the most delicious and representative dishes of Japan, and today I will give you the recipe and the preparation for this tasty dish.
For the batter, mix the flour, baking powder, and fish broth in a deep bowl until there are no lumps and it is slightly thick.
For the filling:
Pour the ingredients into the bowl along with the batter, reserving the bacon. Heat a griddle or preferably a round-bottomed non-stick skillet that is already greased, and add the mixture. NOTE: THE PAN MUST BE VERY HOT, OTHERWISE IT WILL STICK.
Before flipping the mixture, place pieces of bacon on top, wait about 5 to 8 minutes on low heat, and flip it like a pancake.
After about 5 minutes of flipping the cake, insert a toothpick; if it comes out clean, add a light layer of mayonnaise, tonkatsu sauce (available at Asian food stores), nori powder, and dried fish powder, and YOU'RE DONE! Now you can enjoy your delicious OKONOMIYAKI.
