Pad Thai

Pad Thai is an authentic Thai dish. The original dish is made with rice noodles, fish sauce, shrimp, peanuts, and spices. This pasta is very rich and very original.

  • 1 package rice noodle
  • 1/4 cups fish sauce, oriental
  • 1/4 cups lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 250 grams large shrimp, peeled and cleaned
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups soybean sprouts
  • 1/3 cups unsalted peanuts
  • 1/4 cups chives, chopped
  • leaves fresh cilantro, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • 8 shrimp, peeled, for decoration at the end

  • Soak the rice noodles in a deep bowl with hot water for 20 minutes. Make sure to fully submerge the noodles. Drain the noodles from the water and set aside.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the lime juice, fish sauce, and sugar.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp, garlic, pepper, and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the eggs (lightly beaten), and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the rice noodles, the fish sauce mixture, half of the bean sprouts, half of the peanuts, and half of the green onions, and cook for 1 more minute.
  • In a separate skillet, cook the shrimp for 2 minutes on each side and incorporate into the Pad Thai.
