Pasta with House Pesto

Delicious recipe for spaghetti with a basil pesto with pine nuts and parmesan cheese.

  • 100 grams basil
  • 50 grams pine nuts
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 60 grams Parmesan cheese
  • 120 milliliters olive oil
  • grain salt
  • 1/2 kilos spaghetti

  • In a mortar or food processor, place the basil, with a bit of coarse salt, the pine nuts, and the garlic.
  • Grind and gradually add the parmesan cheese, continuing to grind, and then add the olive oil until it forms a smooth paste.
  • Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water (as indicated on the package) and once it is al dente, drain.
  • Mix the pesto with the spaghetti and sprinkle with whole pine nuts and more parmesan cheese.
  • This pesto also tastes great with rice, chicken, or meat.
