100 grams basil
50 grams pine nuts
2 cloves garlic
60 grams Parmesan cheese
120 milliliters olive oil

1/2 kilos spaghetti

In a mortar or food processor, place the basil, with a bit of coarse salt, the pine nuts, and the garlic.
Grind and gradually add the parmesan cheese, continuing to grind, and then add the olive oil until it forms a smooth paste.
Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water (as indicated on the package) and once it is al dente, drain.
Mix the pesto with the spaghetti and sprinkle with whole pine nuts and more parmesan cheese.
This pesto also tastes great with rice, chicken, or meat.
