Heat water over high heat in a saucepan. When it is boiling, add the pasta, salt, and olive oil. Stir continuously to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.
When the pasta is cooked (it is soft, has absorbed water, and the water level has dropped in the saucepan), drain the water using a colander and return the pasta to the saucepan.
Add the pesto, parmesan cheese, and vegetables. Mix everything together. Then serve hot or cold.
