Red Christmas Pasta

This pasta is delicious to accompany all Christmas dishes. It is a bit sweet but full of Christmas flavor; you can make the sauce and use any type of pasta you prefer, such as spaghetti, fusilli, ravioli, etc.

  • 115 grams unsalted butter
  • 80 milliliters cream
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 liter tomato purée
  • Maggi seasoning
  • English sauces
  • beef bovril
  • oregano
  • dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 kilo fusilli pasta

  • Melt the butter in a pot, then add the sauces to taste (Maggi, Worcestershire, and Bovril).
  • Add the tomato puree, the 3 carrots, sugar to taste, salt, oregano, and basil.
  • Taste the sauce and add more sauces if desired. Let it simmer until the carrots are cooked. Transfer the carrots to the blender and blend them with a bit of sauce. Add the mixture to the sauce, along with the cream, and mix thoroughly.
  • Put salted water in a pot and let it boil. Once boiling, add the pasta and let it cook for 8 minutes until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Serve very hot with a bit of fresh parmesan cheese.
