Salchighetti

Surprise the little ones with this variant of traditional spaghetti. It's also an excellent option for singles.

  • 200 grams spaghetti
  • 4 sausages
  • 1/2 kilos red beefsteak tomato, ripe
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • pinches dried oregano
  • pinches fines herbs
  • 100 grams Cotija cheese

  • Boil the round tomatoes in a pot with boiling water.
  • Once cooked, add them to the blender along with the quartered white onion and the clove of garlic.
  • Strain the mixture into a pot over heat, let it boil until the tomato changes to a darker color. Season with fine herbs and oregano.
  • Cut the sausages into 4 equal pieces.
  • Insert 6 sticks of spaghetti into each piece of sausage, the sausage should be in the center. Be careful not to break the spaghetti.
  • Cook according to the package instructions, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Place in a deep plate, pour a little of the sauce on top, and sprinkle with Cotija cheese.
