Spaghetti Parmesana

A delicious classic spaghetti dish from Italy. Spaghetti Parmesana is very easy to make and everyone will love it.

  • 500 grams spaghetti
  • 2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • pepper, to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, sliced for garnish

  • Place a large pot of water over medium heat with 3 tablespoons of coarse salt until it boils.
  • Add the spaghetti and cook for 5-6 minutes or until al dente.
  • Drain the spaghetti and reserve 1 cup of the cooking water. Return the pasta to the pot.
  • Add half of the pasta water, the butter, and the parmesan cheese to the pot. Mix until the cheese melts, about 3 minutes. If the pasta is too dry, you can add the remaining water. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve garnishing the dish with the slices of parmesan cheese.
