Preparation
Place a large pot with water over medium heat with 3 tablespoons of coarse salt until it boils.
Add the spaghetti and cook 5-6 minutes or until al dente.
Strain the spaghetti and store 1 cup of the water in which it was cooked. Return the pasta to the pot.
Add half the pasta water, butter and Parmesan cheese to the pot. Mix until the cheese melts, about 3 minutes. If the pasta is very dry you can add the rest of the water. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve decorating the dish with the slices of Parmesan cheese.
