American Salad with Roquefort Dressing

This salad features a Roquefort cheese dressing and is served with a whole piece of lettuce topped with the dressing and sprinkled with bacon and chopped tomatoes.

  • 2/3 cups roquefort cheese
  • 1/4 cups sour cream
  • 1/4 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
  • 1 lettuce, whole round and small
  • salt
  • 1 tomato , diced
  • 2 slices bacon, finely chopped

  • Wash the whole round lettuce and cut into 4.
  • Soak the lettuce quarters in water to disinfect.
  • Prepare the dressing: mash the cheese with a fork, add the cream, water, vinegar, pepper, and salt. Add the chopped green onion.
  • Serve a quarter of the lettuce (as in the photo) on each plate, already dried.
  • Drizzle with the prepared dressing and sprinkle with chopped tomato and cooked, chopped bacon.
