Buffalo Chicken Salad

A very tasty salad of chicken strips with buffalo sauce. It features these crispy and spicy chicken strips in a mix of lettuce, wheat germ, egg, and croutons with a rich and creamy blue cheese dressing. The perfect blend of flavors for any occasion. Try it.

  • 750 grams chicken breast, in strips
  • 2 cups wheat sprouts
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 cups white vinegar
  • 1/4 sticks butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 6 cups romaine lettuce, chopped and disinfected
  • 1/2 cups croutons
  • 1 cup roquefort dressing, see my recipe

  • In a large deep bowl, place the wheat germ and add garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
  • In another deep bowl, whisk the 2 eggs well.
  • Prepare a baking rack for the strips in the oven.
  • Dip each strip in the egg mixture and then coat well in the bread mixture. Place the strips on the baking rack.
  • Bake the strips for 14 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through when cut.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter and incorporate the vinegar and Tabasco sauce.
  • Pour the sauce over the strips.
  • In a large deep bowl, mix the lettuce and croutons with the blue cheese dressing.
